Terms of Service

Last updated: April 5, 2026

Please read these Terms carefully before using SubSee. They explain your rights and obligations when using the Service.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SubSee ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify you of material changes at least 14 days in advance.

Description of Service

SubSee is a subscription management tool that connects to your Gmail account (read-only) to detect and track recurring subscription charges.

SubSee uses AI (Anthropic Claude) to classify billing emails. Extracted metadata — service names, amounts, billing cycles, and renewal dates — is stored in your account.

SubSee does not store the content of your emails. Email bodies are processed in-memory and immediately discarded.

Your Account

You must sign in with a valid Google account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.

You may not use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could harm SubSee or other users.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion is permanent and removes all stored data.

Gmail Access & Permissions

SubSee requests read-only access to your Gmail (scope: gmail.readonly). We never send, delete, or modify emails.

You can revoke SubSee's Gmail access at any time from your Google Account security settings. Revoking access will prevent future scans but will not delete already-stored subscription metadata.

SubSee's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to: attempt to circumvent rate limits or security measures; scrape or automate requests beyond normal use; use the Service to harm, defraud, or spam others; reverse-engineer the Service.

The Service is for personal use only. Commercial resale or redistribution of SubSee data is prohibited.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Intellectual Property

SubSee and its content (UI, design, code, branding) are owned by SubSee and protected by intellectual property laws.

Your subscription data belongs to you. We do not claim ownership over data extracted from your Gmail account.

You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our written consent.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

We do not guarantee that: the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free; subscription detection will be 100% accurate; all billing emails will be identified.

SubSee uses AI classification which may produce imperfect results. Always verify important financial decisions independently.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SubSee shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of liability — in those cases, this limitation applies to the extent permitted by law.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. Delete your account from Settings to remove all stored data.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, with or without notice depending on the severity.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. We will delete your data within 30 days of account deletion.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Israel, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Tel Aviv, Israel.

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
